THE DIAGNOSTIC

Here's what's actually happening.

Inspiration fades.

Think about your last reset. Maybe it was a podcast that gave you a huge 'aha' in the car. A devotional that finally made sense of a season. A retreat. A new Bible study. Something inside you woke up. You journaled it and you meant to keep coming back to it.

By Wednesday it was gone.

This is what inspiration does. It opens you up. It softens something. It reminds you of what's true.

And then life resumes.

What you've been missing is a RHYTHM that keeps going when the moment fades. A practice...a way to put down deep roots in good ground.

The wrong thoughts are running the show.

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."

Look at those words. Renewing of your mind.

That's the actual mechanism. Brain science calls it neuroplasticity. Scripture has been calling it renewal of the mind for two thousand years. The patterns of thought you've been running can actually change. New roots can form. New pathways become possible.

Your thoughts are the roots, and those roots produce the fruit in your life. Here's the issue: most of us are looping lies...beliefs that were formed by a bad experience or a deep wound from earlier in life. Lies that don't line up with God's Word or His character.

And those lies are keeping you from the vibrant, joyful woman you were always meant to be.

Who are your mirrors?

God built into your brain an identity center with a mirror system. The people you spend time with literally shape who you become.

One Harvard study tracking thousands of people for 20 years found that happiness, habits, even health travel through your social network up to three connections deep.

Their voices become your voices. Their patterns become your patterns. Their picture of you slowly becomes your picture of you.

Dear Heart, if the women around you aren't reflecting your true identity in Christ back to you, you'll keep living smaller than He made you. The mirror system is doing its work either way.

The question is who are your mirrors?

Whatever you listen to and read on your own is shaping what you know. The women who walk through it with you are shaping who you BECOME.

Two things have been missing.

A rhythm of mind renewal. And women growing in joy alongside you, encouraging each other forward.

THE DEFINITION

Before I show you how we do this, here's what we actually mean by joy...

Neuroscientist, Dr. Jim Wilder, has been studying joy his whole life. He defines joy as someone who is glad to be with you. Dr. Allan Schore at UCLA defines it as being the sparkle in someone's eyes.

This deep knowing that God loves you.

That your whole life is hidden in Him.

THIS is the joy that is going to get you through bad days, noisy headlines, and situations that will be beyond your control.

JOY is your inheritance in Jesus.

I know this because I lived it.

MY STORY

Let me tell you where this came from.

This started in a chair...coffee in hand...Bible & journal open. My mornings in the secret place with Him. Asking Him questions and waiting for what He had to say.

It came from a desire to create a space where Jesus AND my creativity could cohabitate because my creativity was ALWAYS fueled by Him anyway. And from a decade of pastoring alongside David. Hours of studying how God wired the brain to heal, to renew, to come alive again. From the transformation that I experienced myself.

The Joy Revival came out of that place. From sitting with Jesus and Him handing me the blueprint, piece by piece, over a long time.

I wanted a place to share from the richness of what I'd been learning. A place to encourage women. A place where the brain science I geek out over, His Word that I love, worship that softens me, and the years of pastoring that forged me could all do their work in one room.

That's what I built. With Him. For you.

Do I need to be an artist or have any creative experience?

Your Ebenezer Binder is your personal record of what God has done in your life. Named from the Hebrew word meaning "stone of help," it is the place where you collect your creative practices, your prayers, and your breakthroughs. So you can look back and remember His faithfulness when the hard seasons come. We work in them together live every fourth week of Month 1.

What is the Root to Fruit Revolution?

It is the mind renewal process at the heart of everything we do inside The Joy Revival. Based on Romans 12:2, it is the understanding that your thoughts are the roots producing the fruit of your life. When you tend those roots in community, transformation follows.

What is Immanuel Journaling?

A guided practice of listening to God's heart and writing down what He speaks to you. Once a quarter, we do this together as a community. It is a peaceful, unhurried rhythm that creates space for deeper intimacy with Jesus.

Is there a community space?
